North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations 2008
Join us as we celebrate Canada’s birthday on July 1, 2008 at Waterfront Park. Our Canada Day Celebrations are free and include fun things to see and do for the young and young at heart!
For the past nineteen years the Lions Gate Rotary Club has organized the North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations at Waterfront Park. With over 10,000 participants, this is a popular family event. This year’s event celebrates Canadians diversity and sustainability. Various community groups and local performers join together in celebrating British Columbia’s 150th Anniversary and Quebec City’s 400th Anniversary. The Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition encourages sustainable living by providing a free valet service for bikes at the event. The Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association presents the Solartaxi, a solar powered vehicle currently traveling around the world, and making a special stop at the North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations during its travels.
Bike to Waterfront Park and enjoy our FREE bike valet service, courtesy of the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition.
The Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition advocates to make cycling an integral part of the transportation culture in Metro Vancouver. For more information visit: www.vacc.bc.ca/home.php.
