Shin Myung Korean Girl Drum Group New!
North Vancouver Canada Day is excited to welcome the Shin Myung Korean Girl Drum Group to the celebrations this year! Shin Myung means "exhilaration," a name the group chose to express their passion for the music and celebration of life. Featuring 15 talented performers, the group's goal is to bring traditional Korean rhythms to the community at large and to promote the sharing of culture, integration and harmony with mainstream society.

Sinfonia Orchestra New!
Sinfonia, Orchestra of the North Shore is a professional orchestra that performs beautiful classical music under the direction of Maestro Clyde Mitchell. Sinfonia was founded on the belief that music contributes to the overall quality of life and that experience with music builds community and is enriching for young and old alike. Sinfonia performs full concerts of the best-loved Classics with well-known soloists one Saturday evening each month in the lovely Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver. North Vancouver Youth Band
The North Vancouver Youth Band is the Official Band of the City and District of North Vancouver. The band is in its 67 year of continuous operation and has performed regularly in local to international venues representing our community. The band offers youth ages 9-21 years the opportunity to learn and perform in concert band, marching band, small ensemble, jazz band and in a dance combo. Pro Arte
Featuring dancers from North Vancouver's Pro Arte School of Dance. During our Official Ceremonies, Pro Arte will be performing a special acrobatic ballet piece set to our national anthem, a piece specifically created for the North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations! J.P. Fell Pipe Band
Recently proclaimed the Official Pipe Band of the City of North Vancouver, the J.P Fell Pipe Band is an active community group that participates in over 40 events a year and is proud to represent the Canadian Military Engineers. This year we are thrilled to have the the J.P. Fell Pipe Band kick off the Official Ceremonies by leading the Parade of Dignitaries to the main stage.

 

 

A Single Few - Local Band New!
A Single Few is an enthusiastic quartet made up local North Shore guys: Richard Bailey, Dan Pangman, Stu Smith and Rhett Williams. The alternative pop band plays an ensemble of catchy tunes and has performed all over the lower mainland. This is the first year A Single Few will be playing at the North Vancouver Canada Day celebrations and we are looking forward to being entertained!

The Hitmen Return!
The Hitmen are returning favourites. Formed in 2000, The Hitmen are one of Vancouver's most unique musical acts. The Hitmen are capable of playing any style of music and play hits from the 50's to present day with great enthusiasm, making their performances ones to remember. We are pleased that they are returning as they definitely know how to work up a crowd!

Michael Ouchi – Balloon Maker
Any time is party time with balloon maker, Michael Ouchi around! In just a few quick moves Michael can create a dachshund, a stegosaurus, a dragonfly, and a tropical palm tree (with a parrot to put in it)!

Since 1984, Sand Northrup has brought circus arts to literally thousands. She recently coordinated the wildly successful Circo Circuit project for the Vancouver International Children’s Festival and now takes her mobile “Circus School” to schools throughout BC.
